“What really inspires me is big ideas in science, history, and religion. Through my work as a Christian author, I can deeply explore and investigate these ideas through my book, Holy Fool, Holy Father.
I have a firm belief that fiction is a beautiful way to communicate deep truths about the human condition. What I really enjoy about writing fiction is the ability to express my ideas in ways that would never work as a dissertation.
I’ve also been fortunate to lead an exciting life. One from which I can draw a lot of inspiration to infuse into my writing. As a Roman Catholic priest, I began my religious career as a clergy member in the Episcopal Church. I also served as a technical professional and an instructor in secondary and post-secondary education throughout northeast Florida.
I’m also proud to say that I’ve been married to my wife, Joanne, for 50 years. Together we have three adult children and seven wonderful grandchildren.
My interests are eclectic, to say the least. These days I find myself primarily focused on bringing together disparate areas of human experience—especially as they pertain to the realms of faith and reason.
I have written and spoken extensively in a more didactic, analytical vein about these matters. Now I am shifting gears and exploring these themes through fiction writing and the world of imagination.

—Father Nicholas A. Marziani, Jr.
Father Marziani is a married Roman Catholic priest of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter, a personal prelature of the Holy See. He holds a Doctorate of Ministry from Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry and an advanced degree from the College of Earth, Oceans, and Environment at the University of Delaware.
In addition, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, magna cum laude, from Capitol Technology University. He is also a fourth-degree Knight of Columbus, and before his retirement was priest administrator of St. James Catholic Church in St. Augustine, Florida.
His diverse interests include church history, theology, science, and the intersection of faith and reason, and he has lectured in fields that include world religions, physics, and physical science. Father Marziani has a particularly long-standing engagement with Jewish history and spirituality.
Besides teaching, writing, and pastoral ministry, Father Marziani enjoys walking and biking near his home in the DFW Metroplex.
